Business owner and lead builder, Regan McCormack, established RMC Construction with the aim of pursuing excellence in construction. Regardless of whether it's a single room renovation or a new home build, RMC Construction strives to exceed their clients expectations in both the final product as well as the manner in which the work is completed.

Qualifying as a builder with one of New Zealand's largest home builders exposed Regan to a broad range of building techniques, locations and materials as well as an appreciation of the level of attention to detail expected of a professional builder. To date Regan has now built more than 50 homes ranging from architecturally designed buildings through to more modest first-homes.

RMC Construction has been the vehicle that has allowed Regan to further develop as a builder, as a manager and as an employer. Regan believes that the role of the client is central to the success of any building project and the client's involvement during the build is just as important as the planning during the initial stages. Building plans and renderings can only communicate so much and it's not until a client starts to see their home take shape that they can fully appreciate many of the design decisions. The client-builder relationship Regan believes is critical for both project and business success.

Team Strength

The RMC Construction team comprises seven members which includes three fully qualified builders. Being able to bring to bear this many people to a building site allows RMC to deliver a significant "punch" to a project when required, whether it's to recover from a weather delay or to meet an immovable deadline the value of a team shouldn't be underestimated.

Master Builders

RMC Construction is a member of the Master Builders Association of New Zealand giving its clients additional assurance of a quality job. To become a master builder a member must meet a number or criteria including:

• Building experience
• Trade and professional qualifications
• On-site management experience
• Workmanship - previous clients have been contacted to check their work is of a high standard and satisfied expectations
• Financial responsibility - written references have been supplied from bank, accountant and building material suppliers

Membership of Master Builders means RMC Construction can offer its residential clients the peace of mind of a 10 Year Master Build Guarantee which covers materials and workmanship and is one of the few building guarantees in New Zealand to extend cover beyond the failure of the building company itself.
